Interfaith Dialogue Training Weekend

This interfaith dialogue training gives you the unique chance to spend a weekend with people of different beliefs in a relaxed atmosphere. In a world where religion increasingly becomes part of conflicts it is of great importance that believers of good will start a genuine dialogue with one another and mobilize the positive forces in our religions to create harmony and peace. Dialogue is an attitude that can be learned. During this weekend you will be introduced to the so called Socrates method as a meaningful tool for dialogue in many situations. We will listen to people who are involved in dialogue in the Netherlands. We will also have the opportunity to attend a prayer in a mosque and in a church and we will open and close the day with our own prayer traditions.

Developing mature leadership - inspiration from Dag Hammarskjöld

World leaders are visionaries. They transform the destiny of the world. Dag Hammarskjöld was a visionary leader of his time. He was as UN secretary-general an international diplomat-mediator and at the same time he was a deep spiritual person and wrote a spiritual diary.

The International Student Chaplaincy invites you to join in a leadership seminar. In this seminar we will explore the skills and methods of different leadership styles with reference to the style of Dag Hammarskjöld. Dr.Monica Bouman will expose the leadership style of Dag Hammarskjöld which was based on an inner dialogue leading to surprising political action.

We will reflect about our own leadership qualities and the challenges we are faced with in our world today at the beginning of the year 2012.
